Kings Canyon National Park, October 2019

In October, my friend Michelle and I went backpacking in the Eastern Sierras. We hiked over Kearsarge Pass from Indio National Forest into Kings Canyon National Park. The altitude was brutal – the hike took us from 9,000 ft at the trailhead to 12,000 ft at the top of Kearsarge Pass. It’s the highest elevation I’ve ever hiked at, but the views made it all worth it. Michelle took some of these pictures.
